4th Annual Haiti 5K – 2013
Our Fourth Annual Haiti 5K was a great success! Thank you for your support!
144 participants completed the race and had some pretty amazing finish times!
Thanks to the Gainesville Sun for their great article on our 5K, as well as a photo gallery!
WUFT also featured our 5K in an article on their site- check it out here!
We truly appreciate the support we received for Project Haiti from the UF and Gainesville communities, and especially from our UF College of Medicine faculty members and our classmates. Thank you all for braving the August weather to come out to race!
All proceeds from the race will go to support Project Haiti’s mission to provide ongoing medical support to struggling communities and individuals in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. The funds we raise are used for medical supplies, essential medicines, and on-the-ground team needs. Everything we do not use on our trip is donated to the organization we work with on the ground, which provides year round support and care.
Many thanks to Tom White, who provided our official timing for the race. A PDF of the results is here: 2013 HAITI 5K OVERALL RESULTS.
Please contact us if you have any questions!

We have created a free Shutterfly album of photos taken by Project Haiti team members before, during, and after today’s race. The password for the album is PH2014.
We apologize that there aren’t photos of every participant- something we’ll change for next year! However, we hope that you will enjoy the photos and they should be free to download. Please let us know if you have any questions or if you have any photos that we can add! Thank you.

All of our work through Project Haiti relies on the funds that we can raise through events like our annual 5K. Your help and support is greatly appreciated, and every dollar we raise will “stay in Haiti” in the form of critical medicines and health supplies. We are a completely medical-student-run 501(c)(3) organization, and all donations are tax-deductible.
We Appreciate our Sponsors!
We would like to extend our thanks to our six generous sponsors for this year’s 5K.
Our Gold Donor ($500) is Gainesville OBGYN.
Please contact us if you have any questions (contact form is under the “Who We Are” page), or feel free to email Daniel Turner, MS2, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
